May Day, Padstow 1st May 2018
Follow the crowds and experience Padstow’s biggest day in the calendar! Discover the quaint Cornish town taken over by the crowds to celebrate ‘Obby ‘Oss Day. Two separate processions make their way around the town, each containing an eponymous hobby horse known as the ‘Obby ‘Oss, whilst the town is transformed with traditional decorations and flowers being placed around the maypole. It’s a fabulous day and definitely not one to be missed!
Paddington Bear, Bodmin 12th-13th May 2018
Welcome everyone’s favourite furry friend Paddington Bear, at Bodmin and Wenford Railway! Hop onto a heritage steam locomotive and explore Boscarne Junction and get involved with the on-train activities to keep the little nippers entertained. Head back to Bodmin to meet the bear himself, scoop a selfie or shake his hand before taking a seat at the picnic table to enjoy some much needed refreshments. Keep an eye out for the Fairground Organ and listen to the sounds of the film. This is a fun-filled day that will sure to put a smile on the little one’s faces!
Royal Garden Party, Knightor 19th May 2018
Haven’t got an invite to the wedding of the year? Experience in Cornwall instead as the celebrations of Harry and Megan’s nuptials continue at Knightor. From 11am, the doors will open for a day of quintessentially British celebrations. Watch the wedding coverage on screens in the courtyard before enjoying live music from a local band, with a bouncy castle, two play areas and 4 acre of ground also there to explore, it’s sure to keep the little ones happy! Tuck into some local produce at the hog roast or pick up a tempting sweat treat at the market stall cake table; this is a day of toasting the happy couple the Cornish way.
Trenance Cottages’ Spring Fayre in the Park, Newquay 20th May 2018
Bring your best dressed teddy bear and head down to Trenance Cottages for a Spring Fayre in the park. Entertainment will include Newquay Band, line dancing and Punch and Judy show. There will also be a fun fair, children’s games, duck racing, a barbeque, crafts, plus additional surprises, it’s sure to be an amazing family day…
Little Eden, Eden Project May 2018
Take a trip out of Newquay and explore the popular Eden Project. Each Thursday until the end of May, Eden hosts their parent and under-fives club set in Eden’s magical wild perimeters. You’ll celebrate the great outdoors through games and stories, quests and hunts, making and creating, and campfire cooking!
